STOP EDL 24th JUNE 2017, AT PARLIAMENT SQUARE

Lets stand together because once again the EDL are trying to take advantage of the recent terror attacks in the UK. Trying gain members and any support they can by having a march as close to the 1 year anniversary of Lee Rigby. They changed he date from the 17th June to 24th June, because I guess they couldn’t do maths and realised the 24th was closer to the actual death of Lee Rigby, which was the 22nd July.

The event has yet to post a time and route, but watch this space, it will be updated when released.

Remember it’s Central London so be careful for Spotters (fash that take your pictures and relay info back to there march), Police and CCTV. Always remember the basics and wear a mask/face covering at all times and always stay with a group you know.
More info: Green and Black Cross / Netpol

Lets do to them what happened to Britain first a few months ago when they attempted to march in London and SMASH THE FASH.

Call GBC if arrested and any squatters, homeless or travellers or people without an address get arrested a number will be released on the day on our twitter ( @NFA_Antifascists ) and FB (/NoFixedAbodeAntiFascist) and a phone number will provided for people to use and a ‘care of’ address can be used.

Opposing the EDL in Liverpool 3rd June and Britain First in Brimingham Cancelled

Once again the EDL are attempting to come to Liverpool, trying to divide the local community and recruit people to their fascist views.
Last time they attempted such a demonstration was in 2016 as part of the White Man March, when they were met by antifascists and locals who stopped all ten of them in the baggage department in the train station before they even made it to their meeting point. Kettled by police, the racists were escorted away, but not before some “active” opposition.

The racists were stopped before and will be again!

Britain First in Birmingham Cancelled

Paul Golding and Jayda Fransen – the so-called leaders of the far-right group Britain First – have said they are “postponing” their demonstration in Birmingham, which was due to be held on the same day as the EDL rally. Last week they both were arrested on suspicion of inciting racial hatred and were given strict bail conditions preventing them from being and organising in Birmingham and intimidating Mosque goers.
The ex-leader of the EDL, Tommy Robinson, has been seen in the company of Britain First, so we expect people who support Britain First to join the EDL march in Liverpool instead. Watch out!

ANTIFASCIST BENEFIT GiG

Yesterday a solidarity benefit gig was held in north London to raise money for a recently imprisoned antifascist, arrested for fighting Nazis in Dover, and six anarchists in Turin, Italy on pre-trial detention (remand). It was a great success with over £800 being raised.

The night was a hip-hop night, with poets, freestyles, open-mic and live performances. The night started at a decent pace with small crowds turning-up to check out the space and hear the first performer, spoken-word artist Becky Fury. After her performance, political hip-hop artist Awate performed his latest single, Out Here, stirring up the crowd and getting them in the mood for some more hip-hop! People got up, started dancing and soon George F. ‘The Squat Poet’, Omeza, Apex Zero and others was spitting bars and free-styling as the DJ who provided some classic hip-hop – with locals, squatters, antifascists and all-night ravers dancing together.

The space was provided by Camden Homeless Solidarity, which is based in 156 Kentish Town Road, and is open on weekdays to the local neighbourhood and homeless alike and serves food and drinks, as well as a welcoming space to teach others how to squat and to hand out basic resources for anyone who might need it.

No Borders No Masters, Stop Deportations

Operation Nexus, an initiative between the police and the Home office to deport foreign nationals( EU and Non EU) who’ve committed a serious offence, is increasingly being used to deport people for petty crimes and even for rough sleeping.

This is just another way that the State brings the border and its racist logics into our everyday life’s ! The true criminals are the ones who maintain the racist and murderous border regime !

No Borders !

Noise Demo this Friday against Operation Nexus and deportations.

Property Developers Awards Gets Shut Down as cockroaches and manure left outside

The demo against the Property Developer Awards – suported by Sexual Avengers, A.N.A.L, S.H.A, Class War and various others – took place yesterday (April 4th). Developers had paid £400 a head and up to £10,000 a table to attend the Awards, a gross meet-up for London’s top gentrifiers.

Several pigs vans and a few pigs soon arrived to protect the property developers, who cowered behind them as they entered. The front entranced was successfully closed for a number of hours.

Flyers handed out read:

The Housing Crisis is killing queer people!
We demand Social Housing built for need not greed!

We demand Queer-Specific Homeless Services and an end to inner-city luxury developments!
We demand the scrapping Help to Buy and Right to Buy!
We demand a Rent Cap!
We also demand you stop this celebration, held on the dead and dying bodies of our brothers and sisters and non-binary allies!

Because but not exclusive to:
1/4 of the UK’s Homeless Children are LGBTQ!
1/5 of Trans People have been denied housing because of their identity!
1/4 of Trans Homeless People have been sexually assaulted in a shelter!
1/4 of Queer People have suffered from domestic abuse!

This is just a start as we fight to stop Gentrafication and those set out to profit from the poor and homeless.

London in the midst of a housing crisis. Since 2010 the number of people rough sleeping across England has more than doubled, jumping by 16% between the years of 2015 and 2016 alone. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg: over 275,000 people approach local authorities in 2016 for homelessness assistance. Rents are soaring; housing being built is unaffordable to all aside from the richest few; stability and security are nowhere to be found.

Much worse is to come and another protest in Camden .

SHUT DOWN THE PROPERTY DEVELOPERS AWARDS 2017

http://www.facebook.com/events/111278219367877

Tuesday the 4th of April
Grosvenors House
86 – 90 Park Lane
at 6.00pm

This year the awards are sponsored by multi-national property parasites Savills and costs £400 a ticket.

Once again the profiteers of gentrification will be back at the 5 star luxury Grosvenor Hotel on Park Lane.
London is en route to becoming a playground for the rich elite – a process expedited by property developers in collusion with government and corrupt local authorities – ‘regeneration’ is the buzz-word.

Assessing every possible opportunity for expensive, luxury flats to be built, property developers are buying up social and private housing and commercial spaces to ensure maximum profit at whatever cost. The social cost of this process is that poor, disadvantaged and vulnerable people/groups are being evicted, made homeless and are relocated.
These parasites care only for the profits and London’s attraction to the global financial elite is leading them to convert living spaces, social amenities and community assets into soulless investment opportunities which serve none but a tiny, privileged minority.
They are contributing to rising rents and a shortage of social housing, to the closure of libraries and social centres, the demolition of pubs and clubs. They are complicit in a process of social cleansing, by which London is becoming off-limits to the families and communities that have lived here for generations, and built its reputation as the UK’s diverse and vibrant capital.

WE CANNOT ALLOW THEM TO CONGRATULATE THEMSELVES WITHOUT SHOWING OUR OPPOSITION.
TIME TO CRASH THE PARTY
!

Call-out to all antifascists for Dover – January 30th

As the anti-fascist mobilisation against the neo-Nazi National Front in Dover gets closer, we share the latest update on the counter-demo and travel to it from the Anti-Fascist Network – and earlier one from London Anti-Fascists on the importance of the day:

On Saturday 30 January neo-Nazis and violent racists from across the UK will head to the coastal town of Dover for an anti-refugee protest. Far-right groups are trying to exploit the “migrant crisis” to whip up racial hatred and bring about ever-harsher controls on those coming to the UK.

Across Europe the far-right have been organising against refugees and encouraging governments to increase their hostility to migrants. While governments close borders with fences and batons to keep those in need out, fascists fire bomb refugee housing. In the UK fascists have tried to organise their own patrols of trucks entering the country, looking for migrants.

This will be the fourth far-right protest to take place in Dover in the last two years. In September an anti-refugee protest in Dover saw more than 200 neo-Nazis rampage through the town calling for the border to be closed. They tried to attack anti-fascists, throwing bricks into crowds including pregnant women and elderly people. Anti-fascists were more than capable of defending ourselves, but the demo served as a reminder to take seriously the threat of fascist violence.

During this time, immediately across the channel, migrants living miserably in ‘the Jungle’ have to endure sadistic attacks from fascist and the police on a regular basis. As usual, the nationalist far-right took advantage of a series of extremely saddening events to spread its xenophobic venom among people and to scare an economically shaken French working class, viciously achieving historic gains in December’s regional elections.

We are calling on anti-fascists from across Europe to join us in organising mass opposition to the anti-refugee protest on Saturday 30 January, to show solidarity with migrants and prevent an escalation of racist violence.

This mobilisation is part of the global struggle between those who wish to see the murderous divisions of nations, borders, and class further entrenched and fortified with razor wire and racist rhetoric – and those who fight for freedom of movement and solidarity among the exploited, oppressed and excluded of the world.

We will be standing with Kent Anti-Racist Network and a growing list of trade union and community organisations to show working class resistance to the neo-Nazis. A victory in Dover on Saturday 30 January will be a victory for the range of movements involved in this fight back.

Organise, make plans, spread the word and see you on the streets!
